About us
Learn Kashmiri Online withExpert Kashmiri Tutors
KashMeet is a Kashmiri language learning platform built around a single idea: the fastest way to learn a spoken language is to speak it, one-on-one, with a native speaker who adjusts to you.
We don't run group classes or pre-recorded courses. Every lesson is a live video call between one learner and one Kashmiri tutor.
Why Kashmiri, and why now
Kashmiri is one of the oldest living languages of the Indian subcontinent, carried for centuries through poetry and oral storytelling. Like many heritage languages, it is spoken less by each successive generation living outside Kashmir.
KashMeet exists to make it easy to keep that thread alive — whether that means a grandchild learning to talk to a grandparent, or an adult reconnecting with a language they never got to fully learn.
Our mission
We want Kashmiri to be learned the way it has always been passed down: spoken, shared, and lived, not memorized from a textbook.
- • Promote spoken, everyday Kashmiri
- • Support learners of Kashmiri anywhere in the world
- • Preserve Kashmiri culture through language
Our approach
Every learner is paired with a native Kashmiri tutor for private, conversation-based lessons — not a fixed curriculum shared across a class.
- • One-on-one Kashmiri classes, live every time
- • Flexible scheduling around your timezone
- • A learning plan built around your goals
Who we serve
KashMeet learners aren't one type of person. Some are children being raised outside Kashmir whose parents want them speaking with grandparents. Some are adults who grew up hearing Kashmiri at home but never learned to speak it themselves. Others have no family connection at all and are simply drawn to the language.
What they have in common is the format that works for all of them: live, private conversation with someone who can hear them, correct them, and adjust to exactly where they are — not a one-size-fits-all course.
See dedicated pages for classes for kids & teens and classes for adults.
How we work with learners
Every learner starts with a free introductory session — not a sales call, but an actual short lesson. It's how we match you with a tutor whose pace and style fit you, and how you get a real feel for one-on-one learning before paying for anything.
After that, lessons are booked individually rather than locked into a fixed weekly slot, so you can learn around work, school, or whatever else is going on that month. Your tutor keeps track of what you've covered and picks up where the last lesson left off.
Taught by native Kashmiri tutors
Every KashMeet tutor is a native or fluent Kashmiri speaker, teaching one learner at a time. That means real-time pronunciation correction, cultural context behind expressions, and a lesson plan that adapts as you progress — something a recorded course or group class can't offer.
